What this credit is
Add card to your Uber account; $15 expires monthly, plus a one-off $20 in December
At $15 per calendar month, this credit is worth $180 a year — but only to someone who uses it in all 12 windows. Use it in half of them and it is worth $90.
Set against the card’s $895 annual fee, using this one credit in full covers 20% of it.
How the monthly reset works
It resets on the 1st of every month. Twelve separate use-it-or-lose-it windows. An unused month is simply gone — nothing rolls forward — so the headline annual number only materialises if you remember it twelve times in a row. This is the cadence people lose the most money to.
Cardful tracks this credit to the cent, shows how much of the current calendar month is still unclaimed, and reminds you before the window closes — which is the whole reason the app exists.
