The whole game,
in one app.
Six jobs a points-and-miles wallet actually needs doing. Cardful does all of them in one place, and the free tier covers every one.
Every credit, every period, partial use included.
A benefit isn't a checkbox. Cardful stores what you actually used against what the period allows, and derives the status from that — so a $500 annual credit with $250 logged shows as half-captured rather than "done".
- Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and one-time cadences.
- Log an exact amount, not a vague "used" toggle.
- Reset on the calendar year or your card anniversary — your call, per credit.
- A reminder seven days before a period closes, scheduled on your iPhone.
- One "money on the table" figure across the whole wallet, on the Wallet tab and in a widget.
Rotating quarterly 5% categories
Quarterly bonus categories for Chase Freedom Flex and Discover it, with the $1,500 caps, per-quarter activation, and each issuer's real rules — Chase backdates a late activation to the start of the quarter, Discover doesn't — feeding straight into the best-card ranking so an un-activated or capped-out quarter never inflates an answer.
A statement-style ledger
Each period keeps its own history, so you can see what you logged in March without losing what you logged in April. Nothing is overwritten when a period rolls.
Periods that roll on their own
Periods advance automatically, and the app recomputes the current window locally as well — so a missed server tick can never show you a stale "money on the table".
Ranked by what it earns, not by what it's called.
Effective value is the earn multiplier times an honest cents-per-point figure for that currency. Cardful computes it for every card you hold, sorts, and shows the reasoning under the winner.
- By category, or by merchant — merchants resolve through Apple Maps to a real point-of-interest category.
- An on-device keyword engine takes over with no signal, so the answer still arrives.
- Warehouse clubs apply their own network rules — a card the club doesn't take can't win.
- Nearby mode ranks the venues around you, with location handled on your phone.
- Offers show as a separate boost so a temporary promo never distorts a permanent ranking.
Missed-rewards feed
A running list of the swipes where a different card in your wallet would have earned more, with the gap in dollars — so the habit corrects itself.
Nearby best card
Open the app near a shopping street and it already knows the candidates. Location never leaves the device, and the feature is entirely optional.
Apple Wallet pass
Cardful can write a pass that shows your current best-card answer, so it's one swipe away from the Lock Screen without opening the app.
Fee payback, with a verdict you can audit.
Cardful totals what you captured on a card over the year and sets it against the fee. The result is a single number and one of three verdicts, and every contributing line stays on screen so you can disagree with it.
- Keep, downgrade, or cancel — and the downgrade product is named when one exists.
- Unused credits are never counted as value. Only what you logged counts.
- Renewal dates tracked per card, with a reminder before the fee posts.
- A retention toolkit: what to say on the call, how each issuer tends to respond, and a tracker for the offer you're given — including its spend requirement and deadline.
Per-card lounge access
Which lounge networks each of your cards opens, the visit allowances and guest rules, and whether you have to enroll first — the step that gets people turned away at the door. Logged visits count toward that card's fee payback instead of sitting in a separate list.
0% intro-APR end dates
Record when each promotional APR window closes and get a countdown well before the date, so a balance you meant to clear never rolls into the standard rate by surprise.
Subscription detection
Recurring charges surfaced as a list, so a forgotten subscription shows up next to the credit that could have covered it. (Requires the optional Premium connection.)
Know whether you're eligible before you pull credit.
5/24 only counts personal cards that report — business cards are excluded, and authorized-user cards are a setting because issuers treat them inconsistently. That's the difference between a number that's right and a number that's merely calculated.
- A live 5/24 count with a countdown to when the next slot frees up.
- Issuer velocity rules — Chase, American Express, Citi, Capital One and Bank of America — in one eligibility board.
- "Can I apply?" answers the question with the rule that decided it, not just a colour.
- Signup-bonus progress against the minimum spend and the deadline, per card.
- An application timeline so the order you applied in is never a guess.
Credit-limit increase reminders
A nudge when a card is due for a limit-increase request, so your utilization keeps falling without opening anything new — and so the ask happens on a schedule instead of whenever you happen to remember.
Card-age awareness
Closing a card moves your average account age and your total available credit. Cardful says so before it suggests cancelling anything.
Discover, honestly labelled
Card suggestions are general recommendations, not personalised financial advice, and every one is marked with whether you're currently clear to apply. Approval is always the issuer's call.
One portfolio, and a number you can defend.
Card points, airline miles and hotel points in one list, each valued at a real cents-per-point rate rather than the flattering figure the issuer's redemption page implies. Switch the whole valuation source in one tap.
- Frequent Miler Reasonable Redemption Values by default; TPG or your own numbers on request.
- Balance history with a value trend, so you can see the portfolio moving.
- Transfer partners per program, and alerts when a transfer bonus lands on a currency you actually hold.
- Expiry flags on programs where points can lapse.
- A cents-per-point calculator that settles pay-cash-versus-redeem on the spot.
Travel vault
The perks that never fit in a spreadsheet
Certificates, status and lounge visits are worth real money, and they all expire. The vault holds them and hands their value to the fee-payback calculation.
Free-night certificates
Each certificate with its point cap and expiry, so a night worth several hundred dollars doesn't quietly lapse in a drawer.
Companion certificates
Tracked alongside the card that granted them, with the expiry that decides whether they're worth anything at renewal time.
Elite status
Airline and hotel status held through a card, recorded with what it's actually delivering you.
Lounge visits
Log a visit and its value counts toward the card's payback — the most under-counted benefit on any premium card.
Widgets, system & privacy
Native enough that you don't have to open it
Home & Lock Screen
Widgets for money on the table and your current best card, plus Lock Screen accessories and a Live Activity while a bonus is in progress.
Siri & Spotlight
Ask for the best card without unlocking into the app, and find cards, credits and programs straight from Spotlight.
On-device AI assistant
Ask questions about your own wallet in plain English. It runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device models — which is why it's free and why nothing is sent anywhere.
Face ID lock
Lock the app behind Face ID. Your wallet is a map of your finances even without a single account number in it.
Offline-first
The whole wallet is cached on device. In an airport basement with no signal, Cardful still opens, still ranks, and still shows what's expiring.
Sign in with Apple
One tap to create an account and sync across your devices. No password to invent, no email list to end up on.
Every feature on this page works without linking anything.
Add cards by name and the whole app runs. Cardful never asks for, sees, or stores a bank login or a full card number — there is no account-linking feature and no bank-data aggregator anywhere in it. See exactly how the numbers and the privacy model work →
